Now that you have started down the path as a Live Man Walking, you need to do some quality control. This is where we start looking for cracked stones along the path.

  • Definition: A negative emotional reaction associated with other bad feelings such as fear, disgust, shame, irritability, outrage, hostility and possibly even violence.
• The garment of stealing
  
  • Definition: larceny: the act of taking something from someone unlawfully;
• The garment of worthless talk
• The garment of disobedience
• The garment of unkindness

This comes from Ephesians:

Ephesians 2: 1-3 reads:

¹As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, ²in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. ³All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.

This passage tells me that as long as I am following the ways of the World, I am still DEAD in my sins. I am still a Dead Man Walking.

“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you — unless, of course, you fail the test?”

The book is NOT just for men. I took the title from the saying and movie “Dead Man Walking”. In the Bible in Ephesians it says that we were all once dead in our transgressions when we followed the ways of the world. But once we accept Jesus into our hearts, we are ALIVE in Christ and that’s where I got “Live Man Walking”. The book is for Men, Women and Teens from all walks of life. It is an easy read with a huge impact on your life.

Great question.
Many of you have wondered if Live Man Walking is covering the old testament laws or the New Testament. The answer is the later. In writing Live Man Walking, I was very concerned about what Jesus was referring to as commandments. With that in mind, I went through the new testament and found about 170 that I will be using for the Live Man Walking series.

Keep in mind that the first volume only addresses 50 of the commandments I found. I say the word “only” very lightly. This book is a quick read but it will really put your life into Biblical  perspective forcing you to focus on your outward behavior.
